Before I get into this week’s report, I’ll open with two quotes. Why two? Because I keep forgetting to include them! So I’ll make up for lost time by doing two.

Back to money talk…

I get asked questions about money on a regular basis. Sometimes it’s about specific investments and other times general personal finance questions.

I also get asked about performance enhancing drugs but I explain again and again my guns are naturally huge. It’s a common question though.

Joking aside, I thought I’d take the next several newsletters over the next several weeks and discuss the most common categories I believe most people can benefit from.

Dammit…it’s grammatically incorrect to end a sentence in a preposition so let me try again…

Personal Finance - Growing Your Wealth

I believe the topic of personal finance is widely under taught in our society. I don’t know if “under taught” is a word, but I just used it. 💥

We don’t learn about it in school.

It’s not taught in the workplace.

Yet, our view of money and our actions with money determine so many aspects of our life. It determines how long I have to work…how much time I get with my family…and in some cases, whether or not someone commits suicide. That may sound harsh…but it’s the truth.

The decisions we make around money are some of the most important decisions we will ever make in our lives.

Who is teaching us about personal money management?

Nobody.

It looks like it’s up to you.

My goal with The Tobin Report is to educate as well as give you tools so that you can make the most informed decision when it comes to your personal finances.

You may disagree with some or all of my views and that’s okay. Take what I say with a grain of salt. After all, I’m just a guy on the internet writing a cool newsletter on Substack for free. 💥

Okay, enough self promotion. Sooooooooooo, over the next several weeks, I’ll focus on the various steps to improve your overall financialness. Now THAT word I just made up. The cool part is the fact that you know what I mean. I think it should be a real word now. Financialness. Say it three times fast.
